As a Principal at Schroeder Architects, Janet brings leadership to the firm’s business direction, growth,
and development. She serves as primary client contact for her projects, fielding questions from project
feasibility and conceptualization, through design, construction document preparation, and solving
construction problems that arise in the field. Janet provides project quality oversight and is a design,
process, technical and code resource for her teammates in the office.

Janet started her career overseas managing the design and construction of large‐scale gravity‐flow water systems. She transferred that knowledge into sustainably‐focused park and camp Master Planning, which ultimately lead to Master Planning mixed- use developments. Her building type experience includes condominiums, apartments, office buildings, retail (enclosed malls, lifestyle centers, grocery stores, roll-out, etc.), cinemas, restaurants, banks, schools, transit stations, parking decks… and many of these in combination. Her Spanish fluency has proven useful on job site visits.

Janet’s career passions include thinking strategically to connect people across the development, design, and construction industry into teams that get projects built, and working on challenging buildings and sites.
